THE HISTORY
Spelt Grain |
Snow Leopard is the first luxury vodka to be made from the rare Spelt grain, affectionately known as the “grand father” of all grains.
Spelt was first farmed by the Egyptians 5000 years ago. It was described by St Hildegard in the 13th century as “the best of all grains”.
Spelt has a distinct nutty, fresh taste. Its tough husk protects it from pollutants, retains nutrients and maintains freshness. In comparison to other grains, Spelt is high in fibre and protein, rare and reassuringly expensive! Snow Leopard Vodka’s Spelt grain is grown without using pesticides. |
